An annual boiler service from Prime Gas Services costs £85 to £150 and usually takes 40 to 60 minutes. We service almost every make and model across Kettering, Northampton, Corby, Wellingborough and nearby towns, and can email you a reminder a month before your next service is due. Add a landlord gas safety check to the same visit and we offer a discount.
A yearly service keeps your boiler safe, efficient and within its manufacturer warranty. It is also the easiest way to catch small problems before they turn into a breakdown in the middle of winter.
If you let us know your boiler's make and model when you book, we can confirm we cover it and make sure the engineer arrives with what they need.
If you have noticed a problem with the boiler, please tell us before the visit. That way we can investigate it properly on the day and give you the right advice, rather than us finding out halfway through the service.
If anything needs attention, we explain what we have found and what it would cost before any further work goes ahead, so there are no surprises.
We service boilers in homes and rental properties across Kettering and the surrounding towns and villages. During the visit we check the safety-critical parts, clean what needs cleaning, test that the boiler is burning correctly and talk you through anything we have found before we leave.

It was boiler service and the appointed engineer was from Prime Gas Services.Sadly, the boiler needed a replacenent internal seal and a set of what I"ll call the igniters as these had started to work intermitently.Parts came in a couple of days, fitted quickly and all back up and running very quickly.

Nathan installed a new gas boiler for me, after initially coming out to check positioning and discussing our needs from the system. He completed the work in a professional manner and took the time to explain the workings, adjusted some radiators that were already existing ( which my previous maintenance plan with a main supplier had never got round to sorting out) and ensured I knew about the warranty on the boiler. The workmanship and customer service is second to none. Nathan spent several hours over the Bank Holiday weekend costing up a new boiler system for us after ours was condemned. He took the time to discuss both the most appropriate system for us and also cost. He spent an hour with us on Sunday measuring up and explaining what would be carried out. The installation started on Wednesday. The job took 3 days to complete and an exceptional installation was carried out by Jay and Nathan. Nothing was to much trouble and any questions we had were answered with knowledge. An excellent company who we would highly recommend. It's so nice to shower again with hot water!

Yes. Prime Gas Services Ltd is on the Gas Safe Register under registration number 914800, and every engineer carries their Gas Safe ID card. You are welcome to ask to see it when they arrive.
Our founder Nathan has 20 years' experience, starting as a British Gas apprentice in 2006. He set up Prime Gas Services in 2022, and the team now includes engineers Jay and Ethan, with 7 and 9 years' experience respectively.
We are open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 20:00 and Saturday from 08:00 to 13:00. We are closed on Sundays. Outside these hours, call us on 07828 972 225 to arrange an emergency call-out. If you smell gas, call the National Gas Emergency number on 0800 111 999 first.
All of our engineers carry card payment machines, so you can pay by card on the day. We also accept bank transfer and cash.
Yes. We aim to call or message you before we arrive so you know exactly when to expect us.
All of our boilers come with between 5 and 10 years' manufacturer warranty, depending on the boiler you choose.
Very little. We put dust sheets down and leave your home as we found it.
Most installations take one day, but larger jobs can take up to three days. We will tell you which to expect when we quote.
Not all systems need a powerflush. If your radiators have cold spots or are not heating up, a powerflush would likely benefit your system, and we will advise you honestly during the survey.
Most new boiler installations cost between £1,900 and £4,000 supplied and fitted. The price depends on the boiler, the type of system you have and any changes to pipework or the boiler's position. Quotes are free.
We fit leading brands including Baxi, Vaillant, Worcester Bosch and Ideal, and we will recommend the right boiler for your home and budget.
There are several common causes, including a water leak on the boiler or heating system, a faulty expansion vessel or a failed pressure relief valve. We always suggest having a Gas Safe registered engineer investigate rather than repeatedly topping it up yourself.
Yes. All of our engineers have card payment machines.
We will try wherever possible to get to you the same day. If that is not possible, we will offer you a next-day appointment.
Make a note of the fault code and check it against your manufacturer's user guide, then follow the advice given. If the fault does not clear, give us a call on 07828 972 225.
Most boiler repairs cost between £100 and £400, depending on the fault and any parts needed. Repair quotes are free unless a call-out is needed. We explain what we have found and agree the price with you before carrying out the repair.

Powerflushing can improve the efficiency of your heating system by around 7%.
Common signs are radiators that are cold at the bottom or have cold spots, a noisy boiler or pump, dirty water when you bleed a radiator, and heating that takes a long time to warm up.
A powerflush costs between £400 and £600 depending on the size of the system and the number of radiators.
If the existing system has sludge or cold spots, flushing it before the new boiler goes in helps protect the new boiler. If the system is clean, we will not recommend one.
Yes. You can have your landlord certificate done up to two months early and keep your original anniversary date.
Yes, and we offer a discount when you have both done at the same visit.
Every 12 months. Landlords must have all gas appliances, fittings and flues they provide checked each year by a Gas Safe registered engineer and give tenants a copy of the record.
A landlord gas safety check costs between £70 and £100 depending on the number of appliances.
We test the gas installation for tightness, inspect each gas appliance, check flues and ventilation, and confirm everything is working safely before issuing the certificate.
