Boiler Installation in Kettering

New boilers from £1,900 with a manufacturer warranty

New Boilers, Supplied and Fitted

Prime Gas Services installs new boilers across Kettering, Northampton, Corby, Wellingborough and the surrounding towns, typically from £1,900 to £4,000 supplied and fitted. Most installations are completed in one day; larger jobs take up to three. Every boiler carries a 5- to 10-year manufacturer warranty and is fitted by a Gas Safe registered engineer (registration 914800).

A new boiler is a big decision, so we start with a proper look at your home. We check your existing system, talk through how you use your heating and hot water, and recommend the right boiler for your property and budget rather than the most expensive one on the list.

We fit leading brands including Baxi, Vaillant, Worcester Bosch and Ideal.

Moving a boiler or converting a system takes longer than a straight swap, and we will tell you how long before we start. Dust sheets go down on arrival and we leave your home as we found it.

If your radiators have cold spots or your system has never been cleaned, we may suggest a powerflush alongside the new boiler. Not every system needs one, and we will only recommend it when it will genuinely help your new boiler run as it should.

We install combi, system and regular boilers for homes across Kettering and the surrounding towns and villages. Your quote sets out exactly what is included, so there are no surprises on the day. If you are not sure whether your current boiler is worth repairing, our engineers will give you an honest view either way.

What areas do you cover?

We are based in Kettering and cover Northampton, Corby, Wellingborough, Rothwell, Desborough, Market Harborough, Barton Seagrave, Burton Latimer, Rushden, Irthlingborough, Raunds and Finedon. If you are just outside these areas, call us on 07828 972 225 and we will let you know if we can help.

Are your engineers Gas Safe registered?

Yes. Prime Gas Services Ltd is on the Gas Safe Register under registration number 914800, and every engineer carries their Gas Safe ID card. You are welcome to ask to see it when they arrive.

How long have you been doing this?

Our founder Nathan has 20 years' experience, starting as a British Gas apprentice in 2006. He set up Prime Gas Services in 2022, and the team now includes engineers Jay and Ethan, with 7 and 9 years' experience respectively.

What are your opening hours?

We are open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 20:00 and Saturday from 08:00 to 13:00. We are closed on Sundays. Outside these hours, call us on 07828 972 225 to arrange an emergency call-out. If you smell gas, call the National Gas Emergency number on 0800 111 999 first.

How do I pay?

All of our engineers carry card payment machines, so you can pay by card on the day. We also accept bank transfer and cash.

Will you let me know when you are on your way?

Yes. We aim to call or message you before we arrive so you know exactly when to expect us.

What warranty will I have with my new boiler?

All of our boilers come with between 5 and 10 years' manufacturer warranty, depending on the boiler you choose.

Is there much mess when installing a new boiler?

Very little. We put dust sheets down and leave your home as we found it.

How long will the installation take?

Most installations take one day, but larger jobs can take up to three days. We will tell you which to expect when we quote.

Do I need a powerflush?

Not all systems need a powerflush. If your radiators have cold spots or are not heating up, a powerflush would likely benefit your system, and we will advise you honestly during the survey.

How much does a new boiler cost?

Most new boiler installations cost between £1,900 and £4,000 supplied and fitted. The price depends on the boiler, the type of system you have and any changes to pipework or the boiler's position. Quotes are free.

Which boiler brands do you fit?

We fit leading brands including Baxi, Vaillant, Worcester Bosch and Ideal, and we will recommend the right boiler for your home and budget.

Why does my boiler lose pressure?

There are several common causes, including a water leak on the boiler or heating system, a faulty expansion vessel or a failed pressure relief valve. We always suggest having a Gas Safe registered engineer investigate rather than repeatedly topping it up yourself.

Can I pay by card?

Yes. All of our engineers have card payment machines.

Can you get out to me today?

We will try wherever possible to get to you the same day. If that is not possible, we will offer you a next-day appointment.

What should I do if my boiler has a fault code?

Make a note of the fault code and check it against your manufacturer's user guide, then follow the advice given. If the fault does not clear, give us a call on 07828 972 225.

How much does a boiler repair cost?

Most boiler repairs cost between £100 and £400, depending on the fault and any parts needed. Repair quotes are free unless a call-out is needed. We explain what we have found and agree the price with you before carrying out the repair.

How long does a service take?

Usually 40 to 60 minutes.

What if I have a problem with the boiler?

Please let us know before the service so we can investigate it properly and give you the correct advice on the day.

Do you service all makes and models?

We service almost every make and model. If you give us the make and model when you book, we can confirm we cover it before your appointment.

Will you contact me when my service is due?

If you would like us to, we can email you a reminder a month before your annual boiler service is due.

How much is a boiler service?

A boiler service costs between £85 and £150 depending on the type of boiler and system.

Why should I have my boiler serviced every year?

An annual service keeps your boiler running safely and efficiently, catches small faults early and is usually required to keep the manufacturer warranty valid.

Is a powerflush suitable for all systems?

Most systems are suitable for a powerflush. We will check your system first and tell you if it is not right for you.

Will a powerflush improve efficiency?

Powerflushing can improve the efficiency of your heating system by around 7%.

How do I know if my system needs a powerflush?

Common signs are radiators that are cold at the bottom or have cold spots, a noisy boiler or pump, dirty water when you bleed a radiator, and heating that takes a long time to warm up.

How much does a powerflush cost?

A powerflush costs between £400 and £600 depending on the size of the system and the number of radiators.

Should I have a powerflush with a new boiler?

If the existing system has sludge or cold spots, flushing it before the new boiler goes in helps protect the new boiler. If the system is clean, we will not recommend one.

Can I keep my original date if I have the certificate done before it's due?

Yes. You can have your landlord certificate done up to two months early and keep your original anniversary date.

Can I have my landlord check done with a service?

Yes, and we offer a discount when you have both done at the same visit.

How often do I need a landlord gas safety check?

Every 12 months. Landlords must have all gas appliances, fittings and flues they provide checked each year by a Gas Safe registered engineer and give tenants a copy of the record.

How much does a landlord gas safety certificate cost?

A landlord gas safety check costs between £70 and £100 depending on the number of appliances.

What does the check cover?

We test the gas installation for tightness, inspect each gas appliance, check flues and ventilation, and confirm everything is working safely before issuing the certificate.
