System Boiler and Cylinder Installation

The Brief

This home runs a system boiler with a stored hot water cylinder, both housed together in an airing cupboard. The job was to fit a new system boiler that works with that setup and gives reliable heating and hot water.

What We Did

The installation covered:

• New Baxi system boiler: fitted on the wall directly above the unvented hot water cylinder.
• New copper pipework: the boiler, cylinder and heating circuit were connected in new copper.
• Magnetic filter: a magnetic filter was fitted to the heating system to catch sludge and debris before they reach the new boiler.
• Commissioning: the boiler was commissioned and the heating and hot water were tested before handover.

The Result

The property now has a new Baxi system boiler working with its unvented cylinder, with tidy copper pipework and a magnetic filter protecting the system. The new boiler is covered by its manufacturer warranty, and annual servicing will help keep it that way.
